Oppo launches two new smartphones in India, as a part of its Reno series. Both the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition have been introduced in the country and are to be sold via online and offline retailers.
The highlight of the 10x Zoom Edition smartphone is the fact that it features 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom. One thing in common between the smartphones is the presence of a side-swing selfie camera. The Chinese smartphone maker is even offering an international service warranty on the handsets.
Price: Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has been launched at a starting price of INR 39,990 for the 6GB/128GB storage variant and INR 49,990 for the 8GB/256GB version. The smartphone will be available in Jet Black and Ocean Green color options.
The Oppo Reno, on the other hand, carries a price tag of INR 32,990 for the 8GB/128GB storage version.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition features a 6.6-inch panoramic, has a triple camera setup at the rear that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor along with a f/1.7 lens and laser autofocus. The secondary camera comprises of a 13MP sensor with a periscope telephoto lens, whereas the tertiary sensor comes with a 8MP super-wide angle lens. The smartphone supports various optimisations, which include Noise reduction, AI-based Ultra Night Mode 2.0, HDR support and portrait mode. For selfie lovers, the smartphone features a side-swing selfie camera that takes 0.8 seconds to open.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC processor and comes in 6GB or 8GB RAM options. The smartphone offers 16-160mm full focal length coverage which helps in 10x Zoom and offers support for dual OIS that reduces the shakiness in images.
In terms of video recording features, the Zoom Edition supports 4K 60fps video capture with OIS support, together with audio zoom recording and also helps in capturing 3D surround sound.
In terms of storage options, the Reno 10x Zoom Edition is offered in 128GB and 256GB variants. The smartphone has connectivity options which include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, dual GPS, Wi-Fi and USB type-C port. It features a 4,065mAh battery.
The Oppo Reno smartphone on the other hand features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ panoramic AMOLED display and also has 6th-gen Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC procesor that is paired with 8GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the smartphone has a dual camera setup at the rear that features a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor and also a 5MP depth sensor with a f/2.4 aperture. The side-swing selfie camera comprises of a 16MP sensor along with a f/2.0 lens and has 5 portrait modes.
In terms of storage options, the smartphone has a 128GB storage version and features a 3,765mAh battery suporting VOOC 3.0 fast charging. It also features the same connectivity options as the Zoom Edition.
