For all the gaming enthusiasts out there, Vivo has something in store for you. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, under its sub-brand iQoo, has launched its first gaming smartphone, which it aims to target to the gamers and photographers.
Vivo has used high-end specifications like the Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with a vapour cooling system and a triple camera setup at the rear, with a Sony IMX363 sensor in this smartphone so as to lure in the audience. The smartphone also supports fast charging with the presence of a 44W Super Flash Charge. The company claims that this will help the iQoo to charge up to 50% in just 15 minutes. In terms of variants the iQoo is available in four variants, where the top-end version has 12GB/256GB of onboard storage.

Launched in China, Vivo has been competitive in its pricing. Available in four variants the iQoo is sure going to be appreciated by all kinds of gamers. Let’s have a look at the variants and their pricing:
- The base variant has 6GB/128GB of storage and is priced at CNY 2,998 (approx. INR 31,700). In terms of colors, it has Electric Blue and Lava Orange as options.
- The second variant is the one which hosts 8GB/128GB storage and comes with a price tag of CNY 3,298 ( approx. INR 34,900)
- The third one supports 8GB/256GB as storage option and comes at CNY 3,598 (approx. INR 38,100)
- The last, top-end variant has 12GB/256GB as storage option and is priced at CNY 4,298 (approx. INR 45,500).
The phones are available on pre-orders and the company is already accepting them via its online store in China. There is no news on the global launch and its availability about the same, as of now.

Coming to the features, the iQoo has a 3D glass build and also has an LED strip at the rear. The top-end version has a faux-carbon fibreback protected by a curved glass panel. All the variants do not support a traditional fingerprint sensor, but host an in-display sensor.
Since it is a gaming phone, the layout of the keypad has to be different when compared to normal smartphones. The iQoo hosts Monster Touch shoulder buttons on one of the side panels, so as to ease the gamers use four-point operations. In addition, there is the presence of a vapour cooling system that reduces up to 12-degree Celsius of temperature, without having any effect on its performance levels.
The smartphone has a long list of Multi-Turbo features designed to help a user customize the performance levels, as per their wish. They can switch between AI turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, Center Turbo and Game Turbo modes.
In terms of specifications, the gaming smartphone has a dual Nano-SIM and runs on Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9 on top. It hosts a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display. The smartphone has a waterdrop style notch at the front, an 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7%. Powering the gaming smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and has 6GB, 8GB and 12GB as RAM options.
Coming to the imaging capabilities, the iQoo sports a triple camera setup at the rear that has a 13MP Sony IMX263 primary sensor with a wide-angle lens, a 12MP secondary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a 2MP depth tertairy sensor. At the front, there is a 12MP camera sensor for those amazing selfies.
Coming to the storage options, the iQoo comes with 128GB and 256GB as options. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone has support for 4G LTE , Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Powering the gaming phone is a 4,000 mAH battery, which supports the company’s Super Flash Charge technology.
