Along with the Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi also launched a Pro version of the same, Redmi Note 7 Pro, at the event, with upgrades. The Note 7 Pro has made its first impressions on a global level and India is the first country to receive the smartphone. The upgrades include a faster processor, increased storage and better cameras. Let’s take a look at what’s in store:
Price: Redmi Note 7 Pro
The Redmi Note 7 Pro hasn’t been given much of a hike as compared to the Note 7. Xiaomi has kept a strategic price of INR 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant, whereas the 6GB/128GB variant will cost INR 16,999. Availability of the Pro version will start from the 13th of March and will be offered in three colors – Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black. The Blue and Red colors get a gradient finish on the rear. The mobile will be available via offline and online mediums, especially Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores.
As with the Note 7, the Note 7 Pro also comes with a bundle of offers. It will carry a free ultra-slim case with it when purchased. Airtel, has also offered to provide the consumers with up to 1,120GB of data together with unlimited calling and a free access to Airtel TV Premium account.

As is the case with the Redmi Note 7, the Note 7 Pro also sports a similar “Aura Design” and hosts a 6.3-inch full-HD+ screen with an 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a Dot Notch in the front, and both the ends ate covered by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 for maximum durability.
Powering the smartphone is a 11nm processor-based octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, which has 4GB/6GB RAM and carries 64GB/128GB of inbuilt storage and that can be extended up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card.
As far as the imaging capabilities are concerned, the Note 7 pro features a dual camera setup on the rear that includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. It also comes coupled with some great AI powered features within the camera app on the phone that include AI scene detection, AI portrait 2.0 and a Night Mode. The smartphone can also handle 4K video recording on the rear cameras.
For the front camera lovers, there is a 13MP front lens for all the amazing selfies. Running the show on the smartphone is Android Pie-based MIUI 10 and powering it is a huge 4,000 mAH battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0.
The phone has other features too which include a rear fingerprint sensor, a USBType-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and support for dual-SIM. Similar to the Note 7, the Note 7 Pro gets 4GLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and Infrared support, too.
