LG too arrived at the party at the MWC 2019 with its first 5G-ready smartphone. Coined, LG V50 ThinQ 5G, the smartphone was launched alongside the LG G8 ThinQ and the G8s ThinQ.
The new smartphone by LG is its flagship offering which packs in a powerful imaging hardware, a top-of-the line processor, great audio output and a sleek design.

Featuring a dual SIM(Nano), the New LG V50 ThinQ 5G features Android 9 Pie and hosts a 6.4-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels)OLED FullVision display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a 538ppi pixel density and support for HDR10.
The new smartphone features an accessory which is coined “Dual Screen” and looks like a flip cover. It adds a secondary display for a more immersive and versatile consumption experience. The Dual Screen has a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) OLED Display with three Pogo pin connectors on the housing adjacent to the display. Also, the dual screen is powered by the battery of the LG V50 ThinQ 5G.
Powering the new-flagship is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and is also equipped with the Snapdragon X50 moden in order to make way for 5G connectivity. Coming to the camera, the smartphone has a triple rear camera setup that hosts a 12MP 78-degree lens with an f/1.5 aperture and 1.4 micron pixel size. The secondary lens is a 12MP 45-degree telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture and 1 micron pixel size. The tertiary lens is a 16MP 107-degree wide-angle lens with an f/1.9 aperture and 1 micron pixel size. As for the selfie camera, the smartphone has a dual camera setup that includes an 8MP 80-degree RGB sensor with a f/1.9 aperture and 1 micron pixel size, together with a 5MP 90-degree wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.12 micron pixel size.
The new flagship has 6GB of RAM and offers 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card. The cellular connectivity has 3G, 4G LTE-A and 5G as options with the other wireless networking protocols comprising of Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The smartphone also hosts a USB type-C port for charging and packs in a 4,000 mAH battery which has a support for the Quick Charge 3,0 fast charging. In terms of measurements, the LG V50 ThinQ 5G measures at 159.10×76.10×8.30 mm
The new smartphone comes with an IP68 rating and is dust and water resistant. For the audio lovers, the new phone is equipped with BoomBox stereo speakers and has support for the Qualcomm aptX and aptX HD audio technology for better music listening experience.
