Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro on the 28th of Feb. The all-new Redmi Note 7 Pro will host a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor and the smartphone will make its debut in China. Rumors are that the new Redmi Note 7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, even though the one launched in the Chinese market a month earlier has different configurations. The one launched in China earlier, supported a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor and was powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC.
The India launch of both the devices, the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are scheduled to take place of the 28th of Feb.
Teasers from the Chinese Smartphone maker have confirmed the presence of the 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor in the rear camera setup. The Redmi Note 7 Pro might support a Snapdragon 675 SoC, as per rumors, which was launched last year with an octa-core Kryo 675 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. The new chipset is an upgrade of the Snapdragon 670 SoC and is based on 11nm LPP process.
The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun recently shared that the new Redmi Note 7 Pro might come with a 6GB/128GB storage option and have a similar design and hardware as to that of Redmi Note 7, launched in China last month. The expected price tag of the new smartphone is of CNY 1,499 (approx. TNR 15,900).
We could thus witness the launch of the Redmi Note 7 and the Note 7 Pro on the 28th of Feb, at the same event.
