Vivo India has officially launched its V15 Pro smartphone in the country. As the teasers suggested, the new phone comes with a pop-up selfie camera module that sports a 32MP image sensor. On the flip side, the V15 Pro supports a triple camera setup, powered by artificial intelligence. The Vivo V15 Pro comes with an Ultra FullView Display Panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Together with this, the smartphone has a fifth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor is powered by Snapdragon 675 AIE SoC. The company revealed that it will go on sale in the first week of March.

Vivo has strategically priced the smartphone at INR 28,990 for the 6GB/128GB storage version. This is the only version that is available currently in India and will come in Topaz Blue and Ruby Red color options. One can purchase the smartphone via Amazon.in, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Snapdeal, Vivo India’s online store and other offline stores too. The main talking point about the new smartphone is the pop-up selfie camera, which was first introduced with the Nex, last year. The pop-up selfie camera has loads of features to offer such as portrait lighting effects and AI-based beautification, along with face unlocking. The v15 Pro also has the fifth- generation in-display fingerprint sensor that has a higher fingerprint pixel density and serves more sophisticated algorithms to provide a secured unlocking experience. The handset too supports a Spectrum Ripple Design and comes in two distinct color options.
The dual-Nano-SIM smartphone runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie and features a 6.39-inch full-HD+(1080×2340 pixels) Ultra FullView Display, together with a Super AMOLED panel. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE SoC, which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
When it comes to the cameras, there is no dearth of it in the smartphone. The V15 Pro has a triple rear camera setup, having a 48MP primary Quad Pixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens. Then there is a 8MP secondary, AI Super Wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture along with a 5MP tertiary depth sensor with a f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera has features such as AI Body Shaping and Portrait Lighting. As far as the pop-up selfie camera is concerned, there is a 32MP camera sensor that comes to the party.
In terms of internal storage, the V15 Pro has 128GB of onboard storage which is expandable via a microSD card, up to 256GB. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other tech features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an accelrometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope and a proximity sensor. The battery is a decent 3700mAH one that supports Dual-Engine fast charging technology and can charge from 0-24% in 15 minutes. The smartphone measures 157.25×74.71×8.21mm in dimensions and weighs 185 gms.
